From breakfast fare to Italian to-go to fro-yo: 7 Memphis restaurants that opened in June

The Memphis area welcomed seven new restaurants in June. From new locations of The Liquor Store, Little Italy and Fino's to a new take-out concept from the Grisanti family, here's a taste of what to expect.

Go Grisanti

Frank Grisanti’s is making take-out even easier for its customers.  On June 2, Go Grisanti opened at 1940 Exeter Rd. in Germantown.

The new shop offers all the longtime favorites from the venerable Frank Grisanti’s restaurant, with a now more-convenient way to pick them up.

Frank Grisanti’s has been serving Memphians from its location in the East Memphis Embassy Suites Hotel since 1989. It’s one of the oldest Italian restaurants in Memphis, and has its roots in a family business that started in the early 1900s. It’s known for its signature and traditional Northern Italian dishes.

Each dish is cooked to order, just like at the restaurant. Customers pick up their orders hot and ready to serve.

The Liquor Store

The all-day breakfast spot playfully pairs a dependable diner — complete with in-house baking, distinct sauces and a retro environment — with an artistic cocktail bar.

The new restaurant has the same vibe and look as the original location, except that it is larger. The menu is the same.

One addition is what Cabigao called “a mini coffee shop” in the part of the building that was Tenero’s butcher shop.

The couple, who also own the SOB restaurants, bought The Liquor Store in February. “When we bought it, it was always on our mind to open more locations,” Ed Cabigao said.
