Braxton Family Musical Coming to Broadway?

On Braxton Family Values, Tamar Braxton got a call from Broadway producers James Meiskin and David L. Garfinkle, who were interested in creating a musical about the Braxton family. Tamar was understandably excited and set up a meeting in New York with the two producers. During their meeting, David told Tamar that people are really interested in stories about iconic singers and families. Tamar immediately thought the Braxton musical could be like a modern day Dreamgirls.

After their meeting, Tamar told her sisters Trina, Towanda, and Traci the good news. Tamar came out with a tophat and cane, saying, “Wouldn’t it be great to have us on Broadway? The Braxtons on Broadway!” as she danced around with the cane.

Unfortunately, the sisters didn’t share in her excitement, and when they started asking questions, things got pretty “wicked.” After yelling at one another for a few minutes, Tamar decided her sisters had rained on her parade enough and left the room … even though she was in the middle of cooking dinner.

Braxton Family Values airs Thursday at 9 p.m. on WE TV.
