The Brave Yong Soo Jung Episode 3 Recap & Spoilers: Uhm Hyun-Kyung Meets Seo Jun-Young
Episode 3 of The Brave Yong Soo Jung aired on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, on MBC. In the new episode, the K-drama introduces viewers to the adult versions of Yong Soo-Jung (Uhm Hyun-Kyung), Yeo Eui-Joo (Seo Jun-Young), Joo Woo-Jin (Kwon Hwa-Woon) and Choi Hye-Ra (Lim Ju-Eun).
The Brave Yong Soo Jung Episode 3 also sees Joo Woo-Jin’s father passing away. However, the biggest highlight of the episode is the chaotic meeting between Yong Soo-Jung and Yeo Eui-Joo after many years. Both of them are unaware of each other’s identities and end up getting into a silly argument.
The Brave Yong Soo Jung Episode 3: Uhm Hyun-Kyung and Seo Jun-Young have a chaotic meeting
Episode 3 of The Brave Yong Soo Jung begins right where the previous episode ends. Young Soo-Jung (Uhm Hyun-Kyung) and Yong Jang-Won are helping Lee Young-Ae give birth to his son, Yeo Eui-Joo (Seo Jun-Young). After Yeo Eui-Joo is born, Soo-Jung becomes determined to protect and take of him. Then, the episode sees Yong Jang-Won bringing Young-Ae, Eui-Joo, and Soo-Jung to a monastery. He then leaves Eui-Joo and Young-Ae under the care of a kind monk. Jang-Won takes Soo-Jung with him and raises her as his daughter.
After that, episode 3 of The Brave Yong Soo Jung fast-forwards to years later in 2024. Now, both Soo-Jung and Eui-Joo are adults. Eui-Joo has just returned from his military service. Meanwhile, Soo-Jung works on a television show for a channel. She has turned out to be a highly energetic and quirky woman.
The episode then shows that Choi Hye-Ra (Lim Ju-Eun) and Joo Woo-Jin (Kwon Hwa-Woon) have grown up and become adults. Choi Hye-Ra and her mother are now rich and returning to Korea on a flight. Meanwhile, Joo Woo-Jin is now Masung Group’s successor. As shown in the episode, his father has passed away, and his grandmother is mourning her son’s demise. However, Woo-Jin’s adoptive mother, Min Kyung-Hwa, seems quite relieved that her husband is gone as he loved another woman, Lee Young-Ae, Yeo Eui-Joo’s mother.
Towards the end of The Brave Yong Soo Jung episode 3, Joo Woo-Jin, along with his mother and grandmother, visits a monastery for the rituals after Woo-Jin’s father’s death. It is the same monastery where Lee Young-Ae lives. That day, both Yeo Eui-Joo and Yong Soo-Jung arrive there. Suddenly, Woo-Jin’s family gets attacked by an unknown man. Eui-Joo tries to fight the man. However, somehow, the man gets hold of Yong Soo-Jung and threatens to harm her. Eui-Joo tries to save her. But in the process, Soo-Jung falls into a muddy water.
The man is finally caught and taken away. At the end of the episode, instead of thanking him, Soo-Jung blames Eui-Joo for her fall and lashes out at him. The two start bickering. At that moment, Eui-Joo’s mother, Lee Young-Ae, appears and hits Soo-Jung on the head for being mean to her son, and she falls to the ground. The episode ends right there.
