Brant Daugherty Signs On For ‘Fifty Shades Freed’ Sawyer Role

Brant Daugherty has signed on to play the character Sawyer in Fifty Shades Freed, the third installment of the Fifty Shades franchise, set for a 2018 release. Daugherty recurred as Noel Kahn on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars and was a 2013 regular on Lifetime Network’s Army Wives. Last year he starred on Lifetime’s based-on-a-true-murder tale Ungodly Acts, and in 2013 lasted eight weeks on Dancing with the Stars.

He joins Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan in their familiar Fifty Shades roles. The Sawyer character – a run of picture role – is described as the personal body guard for Anastasia Steele (Johnson). Also in the Freed cast: Kim Basinger, Eric Johnson, Arielle Kebbel, Luke Grimes and Rita Ora.

Fifty Shades Freed, directed by James Foley from a screenplay by Niall Leonard based on the E.L. James book, is being filmed back-to-back with Fifty Shades Darker in Paris and Vancouver. Universal is set to release February 9, 2018.

Daugherty is repped by Sweeney Entertainment and Innovative Artists.
