Brandy hit the Good Morning America stage on Friday morning (Dec. 22) and helped viewers get into the festive mood. The GRAMMY award-winning songstress delivered a silky rendition of “Someday At Christmas,” a favorite from her newly released holiday album titled Christmas With Brandy.

The 44-year-old talent was dressed from head to toe in a white pantsuit with ruffles while surrounded by Christmas trees and a makeshift fireplace. After wishing the audience a happy holiday season, she showed off her version of the optimistic Stevie Wonder tune.

“Someday at Christmas, men won’t be boys/ Playing with bombs like kids play with toys/ One warm December, our hearts will see/ A world where men are free, someday at Christmas, there’ll be no wars/ When we have learned what Christmas is for,” she sang.

The 11-track project boasts soulful interpretations of classics like “Deck the Halls” and “Jingle Bells.” It also houses a handful of her own holiday originals including the steamy “Christmas Party for Two” and “Christmas Gift,” the latter of which finds her sharing the mic with her daughter Sy’Rai.

As for “Christmas Party For Two,” the songbird previously spoke with VIBE about how much she loves the record. “I can listen to it over and over. And even if it wasn’t me singing, I say it humbly. If it was someone else’s song, I would love it. I love it that much,” she said.

Earlier this year, Brandy revealed she was battling some health complications due to “dehydration and low amounts of nutrition.”

“To my beloved fam, friends, and starz thank you for sending love and light my way,” she wrote in a statement shared at the time to her social media accounts. “I am following doctors’ orders and getting the rest I need due to dehydration and low amounts of nutrition.”

The Moesha star has since made a full recovery and delivered a flawless performance at the 2023 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She also received the Muse award at the Femme It Forward Give Her FlowHERS Gala, which celebrated a legend whose “legacy, impact, and timeless music inspires past, current, and future generations.”
