"Brand New Cherry Flavor" marks the welcome and timely return to print of an overlooked paranormal thriller and literary classic. Set in the sex, drugs and film world of Los Angeles in the late 1990's, this novel is a brilliant pastiche of horror, noir and magic realism in which a young actress and aspiring director, Lisa Nova, seeking vengeance on a manipulative producer, turns to a mysterious leader of a ghoulish band of bikers, named Boro and gets more than she bargains for," Schaffner Press says of the erie novel.

"First there are the strange tattoos that he has marked her with, then the dreams and visitations from ancient cults, hallucinatory visions of white jaguars and cannibalistic demons rising from the grave, and Lisa finds herself trapped in a nightmare that she has unwittingly created." Todd Grimson wrote the novel that was published in 2011. He explains that he came up with the idea after, "having vivid and surreal dreams, which later became the source and literally a part of the novel."

They came about when he was bedridden and suffering from multiple sclerosis. Grimson has had a lengthy career writing horror novels and "The Greatest Horror Writer You've Never Read" by Damien Walter of The Guardian in the UK. The 'Brand New Cherry Flavor' Netflix series currently does not have a set release date, but fans are certainly excited for the release. @augustine_leigh tweeted, "I adore horror.
