Brad Pitt was not thrilled when his ex-wife, Angelina Jolie, sold her 50% share of Château Miraval to Stoli Group in 2021. That sale has been a major part of their ongoing litigation because he claims she sold it out from underneath him while she believes he had too many unfair stipulations in trying to buy her out. Now, that contentious fight seems to be bleeding over to Stoli.

Château Miraval recently announced a new decade-long distribution deal with Campari Group for their best-selling rosé, but it appears that Stoli was left out of the conversation. The company shared a jaw-dropping statement to Just Drinks and pointed the finger at Pitt for leaving them out of the equation. “In a startling development, the Stoli Group has been shockingly sidelined from any strategic sessions, commercial negotiations, or distribution agreement talks as well as the decision-making process and negotiations at Miraval, raising serious questions about the Campari Group’s partnership,” the statement reads.

The fact that Stoli had “no involvement whatsoever in the negotiation process” could be a pending legal issue because it “raises questions about legitimacy of the process” in the business deal. Campari doesn’t seem too worried about the lack of transparency between Pitt and Stoli. They supported the 59-year-old actor in statement, noting, As with any other distribution relationship, Campari Group entered into the Miraval distribution agreements after having ensured that the counterparty had all the necessary powers to grant distribution rights.”

Pitt might be sticking it to Stoli just a little bit since he was reportedly angry about Jolie not selling her share to him. She is suing him for $250 million for alleging that her ex-husband tried to “seize control” of the property “in retaliation for the divorce and custody proceedings” in hopes that “Jolie would never see a dime” from the very successful winery. That’s why she eventually made her business power play and sold her shares to Stoli, who may, in turn, tie up Pitt in more litigation.
