Brad Paisley wrote a special song for his wife on their wedding day 20 years ago.

On Monday night, the country singer, 51, was a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where he played the song he jokingly wrote for his wife, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, for their big day.

During the interview, Fallon noted that Brad's wife asked him to write her a wedding song, even though one of the singer's biggest hits, "Little Moments," was written for her. "Somehow, that wasn't enough," Brad joked.

He continued, "No she wanted something on the wedding day." Brad then pulled out a guitar to play the "special" song he wrote for Kimberly, now 52.

"She's not into flowers, or getting big expensive gifts," he sang. "She says she don't want jewelry/And she doesn't need another dress. If I want to show her how much I adore her/The best way that I've found is to make sure when I'm finished/I put that toilet seat down."

He continued: "Cause in the middle of the night, it's cold and it's dark/And when I hear my name in vain, I know I haven't done my part/She just wants me to support her. And the best way that I've found/Is with a gentle hand a loving touch/I put that toilet seat down."

After Brad finished singing, Fallon laughed and gave him a standing ovation. "That's exactly right," Fallon said. "Come on now."

The Paisleys' decades-long love story began in 1991 — even though they didn't actually meet until 2001. The country music artist first became smitten with Kimberly after watching her play Annie Banks in Father of the Bride.

A decade years later, he asked the actress to be in one of his music videos, and they began dating soon after. The couple eventually married in March 2003, and have two sons together: William Huckleberry, 16, and Jasper Warren, 14.

While speaking with PEOPLE in 2021, Kimberly said "focusing on the laughter and keeping a sense of play" is key to her and Brad's longstanding marriage.

"A lot of married couples would rather do anything but spend the evening together," Brad added. "That's not the case in our house."

In April, Kimberly shared an Instagram Reel of her husband giving her an Easter-themed manicure with hilarious results.

"Hubby gave me 'Easter nails' 🐣💗😂😬," she captioned the video, which was set to "Pretty Girls Walk" by Big Boss Vette.
