Fans of The Good Wife will have to wait until March 1 for a new episode. But here's a little casting scoop in the meantime: Oliver Platt, most recently seen as Stavros Milos on FX's Golden Globe-winning miniseries Fargo, has been tapped for a guest arc on the CBS drama.
He'll make his first appearance in an episode airing later in March. His character, R.D., is described as an intelligent, approachable, and politically conservative businessman who loves a civilized argument with a worthy opponent and has a passion for hunting.
Sounds like he'd probably get along well with Kurt McVeigh, Diane's husband. Is it a coincidence that Gary Cole is set to return in a March episode as well? We'll see.
The Good Wife aired its last original episode Jan. 11. That hour ended with Alicia learning that Diane and Cary were forced to make David Lee a partner at their new firm. Watch her reaction in the clip below:
The Good Wife airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
