Watch a first look at the new season, complete with a "Gen V" connection, Homelander going haywire, and Morgan's secret role.

After the teen supes of Gen V went through the gauntlet of college life, in comes The Boys to tease what happens next.

Amazon dropped the first teaser trailer for the hotly anticipated The Boys season 4, which is coming with a whole lot of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, clear MAGA satirization, and new supes who sound like they just want to watch the world burn.

"Rome. Greece. All democracies fail because people are f---ing stupid," Sister Sage (Susan Heyward), a new supe joining the Seven this season, tells Homelander (Antony Starr). "But if you crush the masses who build your monuments, who tongue your taint... Nah, the people will tear it apart themselves. You just gotta nudge 'em a little. Then you get to swoop in and be the one saving it."

"Like Caesar?" Homelander responds. "Like Caesar," she affirms.

The footage sets up a tumultuous season ahead. Gen V tipped us off that Homelander is more unhinged than ever and has fallen real far down the tunnel of supe supremacy. His supporters have now evolved into the "storm the Capitol on Jan. 6" stage of extremism. Their main focus seems to be Starlight (Erin Moriarty), who has her own supporters after revealing all of Homelander's toxic behavior on social media back in season 3.

"The world is on the brink," reads a new plot description for season 4. "Victoria Neuman [Claudia Doumit] is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher [Karl Urban], with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son as well as his job as the Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late."

Among the scenes we see in the footage is a connection to Gen V. Urban's Butcher is standing close to a cardboard cutout of Sean Patrick Thomas' Polarity, the father of Chance Perdomo's Andre Anderson. We see Homelander parading out Sister Sage and the gun-touting Firecracker (Valorie Curry) as the new Seven members, some supes with creepy powers, and the arrival of Morgan.

The Walking Dead star and Supernatural alum has been a massive fan of The Boys and showrunner Eric Kripke finally worked it out to have him be a part of the new season. The trailer sees him in conversation with Butcher, asking, "Your team, what's your code name again?" Upon hearing the Boys, he responds, "Oof. Who came up with that s---?"

A premiere date has not been set for The Boys season 4, but Amazon confirms it will arrive sometime next year. Watch the trailer above.
