Boys Go to Jupiter is billed as a surreal animated coming-of-age story, brought to life in Glander’s trademark 3D visual style and sonic palette. The film follows a week in the life of a teenager in suburban Florida as he hustles his way through a series of bizarre gig economy errands.

Julian Glander has helmed projects for Adult Swim, Disney, HBO Max, and Cartoon Network. He is also well-known for his cult hit video game ART SQOOL and his 3D illustrations, which appear frequently in the New York Times and New Yorker.

“Tribeca? Janeane Garofalo? It’s a little embarrassing to share this much good news at once” says Glander. “This movie started many years ago as a small personal project, and I wasn’t really convinced it would ever see the light of day. It’s really grown into something big and special. I’m counting the days until we all get to sit down and watch it in NYC.”

Glander produced Boys Go to Jupiter at Glanderco, his Pittsburgh-based animation studio. Peisin Yang Lazo serves as executive producer.

The 23rd annual Tribeca Film Festival will take place June 5-16th in New York City, with multiple screenings of the film set to occur across the length of the festival.
