A set of goons abuse Lyle at the very beginning of the series, and later, with Eli’s help, she starts dealing drugs and socializes with dangerous underworld figures. Eli sees a red phone ringing in a room below their house and picks it up. What happens afterward changes his entire life’s direction. The movie is hopeful yet heartbreaking, full of sadness and pity but with glimmers of joy and excitement.
The series stars Felix Cameron and Zac Burgess as Eli Bell. The family members are portrayed by Travis Fimmel as Lyle Orlik, Simon Baker as Robert Bell, Phoebe Tonkin as Frances Bell, and Lee Tiger Halley as Gus Bell.
