Britain's Princess Eugenie has welcomed her second child with husband Jack Brooksbank.

Eugenie, the niece of King Charles III, gave birth to the couple's second son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank, on May 30.

The younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, 33, shared the news on Instagram Monday.

"Jack and I wanted to share the news that we had our little boy, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank on 30th May 2023 at 8.49 weighing 7.1lbs," she wrote.

Their new baby is named for multiple family members including "his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald," Eugenie wrote.

The princess shared two images picturing her new son snuggled up and sleeping, including one with big brother August, who was born Feb. 9, 2021, at The Portland Hospital in London, where Eugenie herself was born.

"Augie is loving being a big brother already," Eugenie wrote of her 2-year-old.

Their first-born's full name is August Philip Hawke Brooksbank. Eugenie previously said on Instagram that August is named after his great-great-great-great-great-grandfather Prince Albert, husband of Queen Victoria, who had Augustus as a middle name. One of his middle names pays tribute to Eugenie’s late grandfather, Prince Philip. Hawke is a Brooksbank family name.

The infant is 13th in line to the throne.

Buckingham Palace and Eugenie shared the news that she was pregnant again in January.

"The family are delighted and August is very much looking forward to being a big brother," the palace said in a statement at the time.

"We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer," the princess wrote on Instagram, captioning an image of her elder son with his face to her belly.

Eugenie's mother, Sarah Ferguson, responded to the news "Granny heaven ❤️," she commented.

Eugenie married Brooksbank, a businessman, in October 2018 at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
