The Boston Marathon Bombings were carried out by Chechen Kyrgyzstani-American brothers, Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. After the bombings, the Tsarnaevs even killed an MIT policeman and participated in kidnapping. Officials released the culprits’ images a few days after the tragedy and the brothers were soon confronted by the police.
They came face to face with cops in a shootout and this resulted in the death of the older brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev. In the meantime, the younger one, Dzhokhar, managed to feel. However, the cops soon discovered his hideout spot. They soon shot him and arrested him.
Dzhokhar, who is currently 30, was sentenced to death on June 24, 2015. On July 31, 2020, the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit reversed his sentence. However, the Supreme Court reinstated his death penalty on March 4, 2022.
According to StyleCaster, Dzhokhar is currently in USP Florence ADMAX, a supermax security prison in Florence, Colorado.
