‘The Boss Baby’ Trailer: Alec Baldwin As ‘The Apprentice’ Host-In-Training?

The first trailer for DreamWorks Animation’s The Boss Baby comes at just the right time, with Alec Baldwin in the news for his current Donald Trump run on Saturday Night Live. In Tom McGrath’s 3D-animated pic that has a spring 2017 release date, Baldwin didn’t seem to have to stretch far from his current gig: he voices the newcomer to the Templeton family house that disrupts Tim’s perfect life — and this baby happens to wear a suit, has a ready stash of cash and an agenda beyond just learning to crawl.

McGrath (the Madagascar movies ) directs the family comedy from a script by Michael McCullers based on Marla Frazee’s kids book. Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow and Miles Bakshi as Tim also provide voices. Ramsey Ann Naito is producer.

DWA is prepping its November 4 movie Trolls, and Boss Baby will follow on March 31. Both are being released by 20th Century Fox before DWA starts producing at its new home Universal.
