Bootsy Collins Announces First New Album in 6 Years, Shares New Song: Listen
Bootsy Collins has announced World Wide Funk—his first new album in six years, following 2011’s Tha Funk Capital of the World. The LP features guest appearances from Chuck D, Big Daddy Kane, Buckethead, the late Bernie Worrell, and more. In a statement about the record, Collins said, “The whole concept was not only about playing music or being current on this album, but about teaching people how to funk for themselves so they can bring some funk to get some.” World Wide Funk is out October 27 via Mascot Records.
