Boosie Badazz Pleads Guilty to Drug and Gun Charges: Report

In April 2019, Louisiana rapper Boosie Badazz was arrested on drug and weapon possession charges in Coweta County, Georgia. He was subsequently charged with possession of schedule I narcotics, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and failure to maintain lane. Now, according to a new report from TMZ, the rapper has pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana—a plea deal that ensures he will serve no jail time.

Prosecutors reportedly dropped charges of possession of a controlled substance and failure to maintain lane, according to documents viewed by TMZ. While Boosie will avoid any jail time for the incident, he will get six months probation and be required to pay a $1,000 fine, TMZ reports.

Boosie’s arrest occurred April 8, after a deputy said he saw “a white Dodge Charger swerving out of its lane and nearly sideswiping a vehicle,” The Newnan Times-Herald originally reported. A sergeant from the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office pulled Boosie over, and claimed to smell marijuana.
