Booker T: Becky Lynch Was The Right Choice To Win The WWE Women’s World Title

Last week on Monday Night Raw, The Man Becky Lynch won a Battle Royal to win the vacant WWE Women’s World Championship. She eliminated Liv Morgan to win the match. There had been some debate online among fans about the decision to put the title on Ms. Big Time Becks.

While speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T mentioned that he is convinced that Lynch was the right person to hold the title following Rhea Ripley’s unfortunate injury.

“That’s part of the business. That part right there, that’s part of the business. Just goes to show you that Becky’s all-in. This is a warrior sport man. It’s a gladiator sport. As well as I mean… You remember I talked about it and I got backlash from it. And I was talking about when the company choose the champions. They choose the ones they know they can trust. The ones that they know going to be able to get the job done at all costs. And then again I’m not just talking about in the ring. Being Champion is a full-time responsibility. It’s like having a stethoscope on and you got to be ready to go on-call 24/7 like a doctor. That’s the way it is.”

Becky Lynch is a General claims Booker T

Booker T also mentioned that WWE trusts Lynch and they are not going to find a better person for the job.

“I am serious. And they know they could trust Becky Lynch. And she’s proven as far as Championship quality goes. There’s not going to be a… You’re not going to find a better General in WWE or any other company, male or female than Becky Lynch. And that’s just the truth. And I’m gonna tell you, and I say that because I got… I didn’t realize that either. You know what I mean? I didn’t realize how good Becky Lynch was also until I saw her up close and personal man, in NXT. And I go, ‘Good God man!

“This girl is a General man!’ You’re talking about somebody who don’t have many flaws. That’s Becky. You talking about someone who works so much bigger than she actually is. That’s Becky. Man, Roxanne Perez considered that learning tree all day long as far as I am concerned. And all she’s going to do is learn. So, for me, I think they made the right choice. They can easily give it to someone else. And someone else is going to have their chance. It’s just not right now. That’s all. And all the haters, hate on ‘em,” Booker T said.
