Bon Jovi, Roger Federer visit Bruce Springsteen before E Street Hyde Park London concert

Rock 'n' roll — what a racket.

Bruce Springsteen had a few famous visitors before the E Street Band's Thursday, July 6, concert at Hyde Park in London. Jon Bon Jovi and tennis great Roger Federer hung out with the Boss.

Federer posted pics of the meetup on his social media, which included a photo of the Boss holding a tennis racket like a guitar.

“When the Boss calls, you answer,” said Federer, a Swiss native.

Springsteen played to 65,000 at Hyde Park, the venue where promoters pulled the plug on an E Street performance after the band exceeded the evening’s curfew 11 years ago. No such plug-pulling took place on Thursday, according to the Associated Press. Rockers Peter Gabriel and Billy Joel were also in the audience. Joel played the venue on Friday, July 7.

A second Springsteen and E Street Band show show at Hyde Park was scheduled for Saturday, July 8.

Federer was in town for the Wimbledon tennis championships prior to the show. He was watching the tennis, not playing, as he retired last year.

Bon Jovi and his son Jesse Bongiovi participated in a promotional event for their Hampton Water rose in London earlier in the week, according to Women's Wear Daily. He also attended Wimbledon.

Springsteen and Bon Jovi are long-time friends who met at the former Fast Lane nightclub in Asbury Park in the early '80s. Bon Jovi was performing with a pre-Bon Jovi band at the time.

The two visited the Jersey Freeze ice cream stand in Freehold Township in October 2022. They rolled up by themselves in Springsteen's sports car and ordered two cones: sprinkles for Bon Jovi and chocolate dip for Springsteen.

Springsteen and the E Street Band are playing stadiums in Europe and come back to the States with shows Aug. 9 and 11 at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Area shows include Aug. 16 and 18 at Citizens Bank Ballpark in Philly, and then Aug. 30, Sept. 1 and 3 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
