Bollinger B1 has over 10,000 reservations, plus a new off-road video

It's only been a couple of months since Bollinger Motors unveiled its B1 all-electric sport utility truck, but, the company reports, that's enough time to have racked up over 10,000 reservations for the upcoming EV. The company achieved that number on the same weekend it published a video of the B1 in off-road testing, which you can watch above.

Bollinger, which began in 2014 and for whom the B1 is its first product, will be bringing the electric truck to the SEMA show in Las Vegas at the end of the month. The company has been busy working to test and market the B1 while it works toward securing a production facility in the U.S. The reservations are not binding, and Bollinger hasn't yet announced pricing on the B1. The response, though, indicates a lot of interest in the rugged ute.

"I can't believe we've reached this number of reservations so quickly," said Bollinger Motors CEO Robert Bollinger. The company says the reservations "represent hundreds of millions of dollars in potential revenue for the company from eventual vehicles sales," and that fleet orders won't be tallied until pricing is announced.

In addition to the off-roading video above, Bollinger recently published videos of the B1 testing at the track. The company has also published a rendering of a four-door version of the B1 (in orange!), which will have a wheelbase 9 inches longer than the model seen above.
