Bohemian Rhapsody Producer Making New Bee Gees Biopic

A new Bee Gees biopic is in the works from Paramount Pictures, according to Deadline. The studio has purchased the life rights to the Gibbs family estate, which will allow them to use the trio’s iconic songs in the final film. Recently formed production/financial venture Sister is partnering with Paramount and Bohemian Rhapsody producer Graham King for the new film. While details are currently scarce, Deadline reports that the studio is currently looking to lock down a writer for the project.

Barry Gibb, the sole surviving member of the Bee Gees, was given a knighthood for his “services to music and charity.” His second solo album In the Now was released in 2016.
