Bodega Soars High With New Balance 610 "The Trail Less Taken"
Bodega has its head in the clouds as the Boston-based retailer looks to sky for inspiration for its latest collaboration with New Balance.
Introducing the Bodega x New Balance 610 "The Trail Less Taken," the flighty footwear pays homage to birdwatching, spotlighting New York native pigeon handler Hubert, better known as "Live Action." After feeling awestruck at the sight of the winged creatures outside of his window as a child, the avid bird lover soon turned his hobby into a full-fledged dedication, learning how to breed and take care of pigeons.
Although the 610 has been an archival piece for 11 years, New Balance brought it back to life. Mimicking the colors of a bird's feathers, the sneaker arrives with a bright blue mesh base, true purple interior, as well as red and aubergine loops for laces. A silvery "N" rests on the outside, potentially attracting a mate with its glow, while the grip-ready sole delivers harmony with its gray, black and mint color-blocking.
