'In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin' premieres Wednesday, May 15, and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look

Harry Hamlin has already shown his cooking chops while making bolognese for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast but now he will be center stage (or center kitchen) on his new show, In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin.

In each episode of the five-episode series, the Clash of the Titans star prepares a meal with the help of his chef niece, Renee Guilbault, and hosts a dinner party for a slew of celebrity friends. The first episode of the new cooking show brings Bobby Moynihan and Hamlin’s wife Lisa Rinna to the table — and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look.

In the sneak peek, the Mad Men actor, Rinna, Moynihan and Guilbault gather around a table in the breathtaking backyard of the couple’s Los Angeles home. Rinna leads the group with a toast saying, “Thank you chefs!”

Everyone dives into the dish, “Renee’s Bolognese,” and Moynihan and Rinna coo after the first bite.

“That is so good that I don’t mind eating on camera,” the Saturday Night Live alum jokes.

“I’m so glad you are enjoying,” says Guilbault, a Le Cordon Bleu School-trained chef. “By the way, I’m just enjoying being in this fabulous backyard.”

“It’s fine,” Moynihan kids in a deadpan voice. “It’s fine.”

The table laughs and Rinna adds, “You are so funny! You really are funny in person. You know, not every comic is funny in person.”

The jokes don’t stop there. When Hamlin places some portable fans on the table, Moynihan quips, “These are the fly swatters from Clash of the Titans,” and the table erupts with laughter.

Moynihan asks Hamlin and Rinna about their famous neighbors, checking if Jack Nicholson lives next door (he does).

“And Martin Brando,” Rinna says, quickly realizing her mistake and correcting the name of the late actor — but not before Moynihan could squeeze in a joke.

“Martin Brando? Not as famous as Marlon but very entertaining as well,” says Moynihan.

(Nicholson reportedly bought Brando's nearby home and added it to his estate.)

Moynihan proves his RHOBH knowledge at the end of the first-look clip. “If this dinner doesn’t end with you breaking a wine glass and threatening me I’m going to be very upset,” he jokes, referencing Rinna’s infamous season 5 argument with Kim Richards.

In the dramatic scene, which aired back in March 2015, Rinna and Richards go head-to-head at a dinner party in Amsterdam. The argument explodes when Richards makes a threatening comment about Hamlin, causing Rinna to lunge and throw her glass of wine at the costar.

On In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin, guests like Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen and Hamlin’s Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches costars Tongayi Chirisa and Jen Richards gather in Hamlin’s home. Each episode includes recipe tips, tricks for hosting a dinner party and hilarious stories from the A-list stars.

In the Kitchen with Harry Hamlin premieres on Wednesday, May 15, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on AMC+ and IFC.
