Blunt Talk: Patrick Stewart on doing drag for the first time

Patrick Stewart on doing drag for the first time in 'Blunt Talk'

In season 2 of the newsroom comedy Blunt Talk, Patrick Stewart does something he’s never done before: drag. Walter Blunt attends a party disguised as a woman, and Stewart enjoyed the outcome. “I think I looked rather glamorous,” he says, adding that he practiced walking in heels at home, with help from his wife.

The season will also get topical when Walter investigates corruption regarding the California drought — look for Fred Armisen as a passionate environmentalist. Plus, jailed Duncan (Jason Schwartzman) will star in a prison version of Chekhov’s The Seagull. Says Stewart, “There is even more cross-dressing happening in this production!”
