‘Bluey Book Reads,’ Celebrity YouTube Series, to Feature Kylie Minogue, Eva Mendes, Jenna Fischer

Bluey Book Reads, a series featuring celebrities, such as Australian music stars Kylie and Dannii Minogue, Hollywood star Eva Mendes, Rob Delaney from Catastrophe and The Office‘s Jenna Fischer, reading books starring Bluey and her family from the hit animated series about Australian Heeler dogs, has launched on the brand’s official YouTube channel.

The digital original features 10 five-minute-long episodes, kicking off with Mini Bluey read by Australian pop stars and sisters Kylie and Dannii Minogue. Other episodes will feature the likes of English actress and producer Suranne Jones (Doctor Foster), French actress and comedian Camille Cottin (Call My Agent, House of Gucci), Australian TV personality and conservationist Bindi Irwin, and U.S. singer and dancer Jordan Fisher (Hamilton).

BBC Studios Social unveiled the news on Monday with BBC Studios Kids & Family and Bluey producer Ludo Studio. BBC Studios Social, part of BBC Studios’ Brands and Licensing division, is tasked with “creating, curating and commissioning relevant content for BBC Studios’ digital portfolio, which includes Bluey, BBC Earth, Doctor Who and Top Gear,” the company said. “Bluey Book Reads is BBC Studios Social’s first piece of standalone content for Bluey.”

The series combines off-screen narration from global talent with visuals from Bluey storybooks and live-action shots.

All the Bluey stories featured are published by BBC Studios’ licensee Penguin Random House, which uses several imprints for the Bluey books. They are published by Ladybird in the U.K., Penguin Young Readers in the U.S. and Puffin Books in Australia.

“It is a true privilege to work with the joyous brand that is Bluey,” said Jasmine Dawson, senior vp of digital at BBC Studios. “She has captured hearts of all ages across the globe and in extending her story we have put that audience at the heart of everything. I am extremely proud of this original commission and it is a true ‘for real life’ moment.”
