Blue Bloods: Tom Selleck signs deal to return for season 7
Tom Selleck will return for Blue Bloods' 7th season, EW has confirmed.
The actor leads the CBS procedural as Police Commissioner Frank Reagan, the patriarch of the cop family central to Blue Bloods' plot line. Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Amy Carlson, Marisa Ramirez, Tony Terraciano, Andrew Terraciano, and Sami Gayle also star in the long-running series.
Its sixth season landed at broadcast's No. 5 most-watched drama. Blue Bloods is also Friday’s most-watched scripted series since Law & Order: SVU in 2002, according to Deadline, which first reported Selleck's news Thursday.
Blue Bloods' seventh season begins production Thursday and is set to air Sept. 23 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
