Blue Angels, Fla-Ga, Skynyrd, 'Fluffy': 100 fun things to do in Jacksonville in October

There's plenty to do in the Jacksonville area this October, including Conner's A-Maize-ing Acres in Hilliard.
There's plenty to do in the Jacksonville area this October, including Conner's A-Maize-ing Acres in Hilliard.

Some months, it's nearly impossible to find a hundred fun things to do around Jacksonville. For October, we found so many that we had to do two lists — this one, which covers concerts and festivals and air shows and football games and the like, and our Fall Activities list, which has all the Halloween stuff, corn mazes and fall fests, so be sure to consult both before making big plans.

There's certainly no shortage of fun things to choose from. Jacksonville's favorite band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, plays two shows in St. Augustine in October. The Blue Angels are in town, along with the Gators and Dawgs. Comics Bert Kreischer, Matt Rife and Gabriel Iglesias all have shows booked, as do Alice Cooper, Jelly Roll, Vanilla Ice and the Bad Boys of Opera. You can watch pig races, meet a former Miss Universe and play in a pickleball tournament in October, without ever leaving Northeast Florida, and it's your last chance to visit with King Tut.

So what are you waiting for?
