Movie tickets to see the brand new documentary about the Pensacola Flying Blues are now on sale.

"The Blue Angels," a documentary produced by J.J. Abrams and Glen Powell, is slated to release exclusively in IMAX theaters on May 17 and will conclude its theatrical run on May 23.

The brand new documentary meant to "take audiences soaring with the Navy's elite Flight Demonstration Squadron as never before," according to Amazon MGM Studios, will exclusively run in theaters capable of showing IMAX movies.

The only theater in Pensacola showing "The Blue Angels" will be AMC Bayou 15 at 5149 Bayou Boulevard in Pensacola. AMC Classic Pensacola 18 on North W Street will not be screening the documentary, according to AMC Theatres' website.

Tickets can be purchased directly through the AMC Theatres website at amctheatres.com/movies or the AMC Theatres phone app.

According to AMC Theatres, tickets are on sale for $15.99 for adults, $12.99 for children ages 2 to 12 and $14.49 for adults 60 years or older. However, tickets purchased for showtimes prior to 4 p.m. will be 20% off.

How long will the Blue Angels documentary be in theaters?

"The Blue Angels" will be released on May 17 with a first showtime of 9:30 a.m., and the final day of its theatrical run is May 23. According to AMC Theatres' website, there are currently no scheduled showtimes for May 23.

Beginning on May 23, "The Blue Angels" will be released for streaming on Prime Video, the subscription-based on-demand streaming service owned by Amazon MGM Studios.

Prime Video memberships are $8.99 per month, or you can bundle it with an Amazon Prime account for $14.99 per month. You can also pay for a yearly subscription in one lump sum for $139. Amazon is also currently offering a 30-day free trial for new members.
