“Instead of looking like this to see the jets, you’re right here,” documentary director Paul Crowder said. “You’re in the cockpit with them. You’re in the air with them. You get to see what they are like at home, some of them. You get to see what it takes the intense dedication in the briefs and in the debriefs.”

“You’ll see a lot of very tight formations at very high speeds and low altitudes,” Lt. Ben Bushong, Public Affairs Officer for the U.S. Navy Blue Angels said. “I think getting to see it all on the big screen especially IMAX will really put you in the seat and get a good perspective of what our pilots get to experience every day.”

We’ll get a look at what it takes to become a Blue Angel and how they prepare for a demanding 8-month show season.

“We spend about 300 days a year on the road, 32 show sites over the entire show season,” U.S. Navy Blue Angels Commander Alexander Armatas said. “It’s a lot of time away from home. It’s a lot of work to make sure these airplanes are one safe to fly and ready to go day in and day out for an entire show season.”

Executive producer and former three-time Boss of the Blue Angels, Greg Wooldridge, hopes people walk away from the film feeling inspired.

“Hopefully people will say, ‘What can I achieve in life, if I pull out the same tenets of working together and loving each other and trusting each other what does that hold for me in life,'” Wooldridge said.

You can experience The Blue Angels in IMAX from May 17-23, before it streams globally on Prime Video on May 23.
