'Bloom!,' an aerial performance is swaying its way through downtown Des Moines this weekend

They're dressed in colorful bright costumes, 14-feet in the air and touring worldwide on sway poles. The SWAY performance group is here in Des Moines, and it will be performing in the Cowles Commons outside of the Civic Center.

SWAY will be performing "Bloom!" a performance inspired by the flowers in the Smokey Mountains.

"Bloom!" features the aerial antics of three highly skilled performers. SWAY a Melbourne-based performing arts company will provide nine free opportunities for families to see the show this weekend, according to a news release from Des Moines Performing Arts.

FRIDAY, JULY 21

12 p.m., 1:15 and 4:30 p.m.

Cowles Commons will also host the Fair Food Fridays Food Truck from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday to kick off the shows.

SATURDAY, JULY 22

9:30 and 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

SUNDAY, JULY 23

10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2 p.m.
