‘Bloodline’ Season 3 Trailer: The Rayburns Do More Bad Things

“Please don’t judge us. … We’re not bad people, but we did a bad thing,” says John Rayburn (Kyle Chandler), who’s been pleading with viewers not to damn him and his family since Bloodline’s first season.

But, as previewed in the Yahoo TV exclusive clip above, it’s going to get increasingly difficult not to judge the dysfunctional family at the center of the Netflix drama, because, well, they keep doing bad things.

We know brother Kevin (Norbert Leo Butz) added to the family’s woes at the end of Season 2, when he killed brother John’s cop partner, Marco (Enrique Murciano), after Marco pieced together that first bad thing the family did (you know, John killing bad-seed brother Danny and getting his siblings to help him cover it up).

And the teaser for Season 3 — sadly, the Emmy-winning series’ final one — suggests the hits keep on coming, as John tells someone that Danny’s (Emmy winner Ben Mendelsohn) friend Eric (Jamie McShane) “knows too much”; John Leguizamo’s creepy pot stirrer Ozzy is still looking to benefit from the Rayburns’ troubles; sister Meg tells someone — hospital bedridden brother Kevin, perhaps — that she’s done with him; there’s a body in a car trunk; and Danny’s look-alike son Nolan (Owen Teague) is still hanging around the Rayburns’ swampy Florida town, and still has unresolved feelings about his dad and Danny’s place in the family.

Mama Rayburn, Sally (Sissy Spacek), also appears to have a major beef with powerful local businessman and John’s political backer Roy (Beau Bridges), and she wonders how the family got to where they are.

Might have something to do with those family “lies that bind,” as the trailer reminds us.

Bloodline Season 3 premieres Wednesday, May 26, on Netflix.
