Blood Orange’s Angel’s Pulse Mixtape Gets First Physical Release

Earlier this year, Blood Orange released his latest mixtape Angel’s Pulse. The 14-track project—which Devonté Hynes has called “somewhat of an epilogue” to his previous album Negro Swan—was released solely on digital platforms back in July. Now, Angel’s Pulse is getting issued on on hot pink vinyl, picture disc, CD, and cassette for the first time. Find physical editions at Rough Trade. Negro Swan arrived in 2018, marking Hynes’ fourth album as Blood Orange. Earlier this year, he debuted the new songs “Something to Do” and “Dark & Handsome” on “The Late Late Show with James Corden.” Hynes also scored Melina Matsoukas and Lena Waithe’s New Movie Queen & Slim, and announced a forthcoming classical album.
