SPOILER ALERT: This recap reveals the elimination results of Week 8 of "Dancing With the Stars."
Payback time! On Monday’s "Dancing With the Stars," there was a dose of drama when pro dancers Mark Ballas and Derek Hough came face to face with "Dance Moms" star Abby Lee Miller two years after they both launched Twitter tirades against her. And that was just the beginning on a night that featured dance duels and another dreaded elimination.

Miller, who appeared as a guest judge on this week's edition of the celebrity ballroom competition, recently commented that "payback is a b----" when asked about a 2012 incident in which the two pro dancers took to Twitter to slam her teaching style. (Hough described the Pittsburgh dance instructor's methods as "abusive" and Ballas called her "crazy," as well as a few other choice words.)
I just went on a rant @derekhough yesterday.. About this crazy lady... She's an A hole..— Mark Ballas (@MarkBallas) February 22, 2012
In the end, the guest judge played nice, but made it clear what she was looking for: "pretty much everything," she said. (That'd be "straight legs, pointed feet, perfect musicality, inspiration, emotional changes.") Still, one pro dancer made it clear he didn't exactly respect the guest judge's opinions. (More on that in a minute.)
In addition to the "Dance Moms" drama, it was time to show the door to another duo. Danica McKellar and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy became the latest couple eliminated from the competition. The "Wonder Years" alum seemed a little stunned as she reflected on her time on the show: "It's been absolutely amazing," McKellar said. "I've had the best time ever and I didn't want to see any of them eliminated, so I guess it worked out."

The big question leading into this week's competition was the status of Amy Purdy. The Paralympic snowboarder injured herself during last week's live show, and it was unclear if she would dance on Monday. Over the weekend, Purdy tweeted that she was doing better, but she didn't confirm if she would be able to participate in this week's double shot of dances.
But on Monday, fans were happy to see the inspirational athlete back in the ballroom with pro partner Hough. In fact, Purdy and Hough earned a perfect score from the judges for their Argentine tango.
Monday's show also featured the first-ever Celebrity Dance Duels, which had two couples pairing up to perform a style of dance that they've both previously performed, but this time with a twist: Their pro partners left the floor in the middle of the performance. Purdy and Hough, who were teamed up with James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd for the duel, killed it with an impressive 39-point jive.

Charlie White and Sharna Burgess, Quickstep (song: "My Heart Goes Boom" by Miss Li)
It was a perfect start to the night for Olympic ice dancer White, who finally nabbed a perfect score. Of course, head judge Len Goodman made the champion ice dancer squirm a bit by telling him he was "still working it out" to decide if the dance was special enough to merit a 10. Miller chimed in with, "I'm just so happy there's somebody else that's mean."
Danica McKellar and Val Chmerkovskiy, Tango (song: "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Lorde)
A broken rib didn't stop actress McKellar from pulling off a powerful tango with pro partner Val. Miller praised the pro's "amazing concept" before adding, "Danica, I wish you would have danced on 'The Wonder Years.'" Bruno Tonioli called the routine McKellar's "most majestic and powerful performance," while Goodman told the star, "You were on it like a bonnet!"
Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Rumba (song: "Read All About It, Part III" by Emeli Sandé)
Oh no, he didn't! Maks dissed Miller after she dinged his celeb partner Davis for her "sickled feet" at the end of their gorgeous rumba. "I really don't care for anything she has to say," Maksim said of the controversial "Dance Moms" star. The other judges' comments fared better. Tonioli said the dance was "like watching a play without words," adding, "It was inspirational, unconventional. It was different." And Goodman gave it the best compliment of all (for him, anyway): "I could watch it again," he said.
Candace Cameron Bure and Mark Ballas, Foxtrot (song: "That's It, I Quit, I'm Movin' On" by Sam Cooke)
The "Full House" alum finally had a breakthrough, according to Carrie Ann Inaba. Goodman called the star's '50s-themed foxtrot "joyful to watch." But one of Miller's comments, directed at Ballas, had the audience buzzing: "Even though I love Candace, I would have just dropped her on the floor and left... because I quit," she said. The reality star explained that she meant Ballas should have ended the routine by pretending he was moving on.
James Maslow and Peta Murgatroyd, Viennese Waltz (song: "6-2" by Marie Miller)
Goodman told the Big Time Rush singer, "I'm a fan." That said, he reminded Maslow that he needs to learn to straighten his legs. Miller was a bigger fan: "James, it's the man's job to make the woman look amazing, and you did." She sealed the critique with a 10.
Amy Purdy and Derek Hough, Argentine Tango (song: "Heart Upon My Sleeve" by Avicii)
Purdy's injury made it a rough week for rehearsals, but she triumphed during the live show with a perfect Argentine tango and a perfect score. Hough looked nervous when Miller started off her critique with "I have something to say to Derek." The guest judge let Twitter bygones be bygones and praised Hough for taking risks and pushing the envelope with his choreography. Heck, she even called him "a legend." (Whew!)
