Video: ‘Real Housewives’ Husband Simon Releases New Single ‘I Am Real’
Have you ever tasted really disgusting food, then offered a bite to your friend? Well, this video clip kinda like that: Simon van Kempen -- Alex McCord's house husband on "Real Housewives of New York City" -- has released his debut single "I Am Real," and it is so bad, we need to share it with you right now:
"More than anything, I wanted the track to be fun, irreverent and to talk about my real experience" on the Bravo series, van Kempen explains in a release. "The title and lyrics are cheeky but hey, that's the REAL me!"
Despite the song's Auto-tuned awfulness, we can't deny the amusingly meta wordplay: "Gold and diamonds glitter. But the taste is slightly bitter. When wives attack behind my back, they trash me on the Twitter."
Nice effort, Simon. But "I Am Real" pales in comparison to the shameless empowerment anthem that is Countess LuAnn's "Money Can't Buy You Class." Take it away, LuAnn:
