LeAnn Rimes Gives Shoutout to ‘Bonus Moms,’ Herself
Ever heard of a "bonus mom"? Neither had we, until LeAnn Rimes used the phrase to indirectly pat herself on the back as the stepmother to husband Eddie Cibrian's two children. Her tweet, grammatical errors included: "Happy Mother's day weekend to all the Mom's out there. The "Bonus Moms,' Godmother's, Grandmothers and anyone who is a woman who helps love and raise children."
That's a commendable shoutout. There are indeed gazillions of unspoken maternal figures who care for kids but do not have the "mother" title. But coming from LeAnn Rimes -- who appears to love the spotlight and Cibrian with equal measure -- this Twitter message seems to have an agenda attached: to passive-agressively needle archnemesis Brandi Glanville, Cibrian's ex-wife and brand-new addition to Bravo's "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
A Glanville source tells E! Online: "(Eddie and LeAnn) are just jealous. (LeAnn)'s pissed because Brandi's going to get attention, and he wants to do anything in his power to make it difficult for her."
It all sounds so ominous! Always plotting and scheming, those two. Maybe they should get their own reality show to even the playing field with Glanville. Oh, no. Pretend we didn't write that. We'd rather be stuck in an elevator with all the Teen Moms and their drama than tune into an episode of "LeAnn and Eddie: A Love Story" or whatever they'll call it.
