Lea Michele Snubs ‘True Grit’ Star

If you saw "True Grit," then you witnessed the remarkable performance of14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld, who more than holds her own alongside the likes of JeffBridges and Matt Damon. Steinfeld's character, a no-nonsense teen onthe hunt for her father's killer, would rarely be caught crying. Thenagain, she never encountered "Glee" actress Lea Michele.

Steinfeld, however, had the chance -- and it did not go well. In an interview with J-14, Steinfeld recalls her most embarrassing moment, courtesy of Michele:

"WhenI was auditioning for 'True Grit,' I was on the Paramount lot. I waswearing clothes from the 1800s that were big and uncomfortable. 'Glee'also films on the lot and I love the show, but I haven't reallyfollowed it. I saw Lea Michele just walking to her trailer and I waslike, 'That's the girl from 'Glee.' I've got to go ask for herautograph!' So I walked up to her and asked for her autograph, but shewalked by and a guy came and said, 'Sorry, now's not a good time!' So Ihad to walk all the way back to the car wearing what I was wearing. Iwas practically crying on the way home. I was so sad! But she'sbeautiful and has an amazing voice."

Maybe Michele had a bad day; who knows? Then again, when we read further evidence of Michele's divalike behavior -- such as an attempt at hijacking a "Glee" co-star's Details profile -- we wonder if all those "She's exactly like Rachel Berry" rumors are true.

In any case, Lea, we think someone deserves roses or a nice note....
