Kim Kardashian Gives 10% of Income to Family Church

How much is Kim Kardashian worth? More than enought to splurge on a $115,000 watch. When asked for a number by CNN's Piers Morgan, the Empress of Reality TV responded: "Whatever it is, I give 10% away to the church and that's what I was taught. Every year, absolutely."

Kardashian sat on the hot seat for Thursday's edition of "Piers Morgan Tonight," where the Madonna-hating host seemed incredulous as to why she would donate such a huge chunk of money. She explained that she tithes 10% to a Calabasas, Calif., church created by her mother, Kris Jenner.

According to The Daily Mail, the church in question is called LifeChange Community Church, and was founded last year by Jenner and Reverend Brad Johnson; the reality family matriarch recruited Johnson at a Starbucks where he worked before launching the house of worship. Prior to his coffeehouse gig, Johnson had been the popular, tattooed pastor of the Calvary Community Church in the California town of Westlake. He resigned in disgrace four years ago after his infidelities became public and he'd attempted suicide three times.

But Jenner, dead-set on making Johnson the reverend of her startup ministry, tracked him down despite his sordid past. He then officiated her daughter Khloe's 2009 wedding to L.A. Laker Lamar Odom (which was televised on "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," naturally).

While her daughter Kim is the face of the family business, Jenner's the mastermind, brokering endorsement and product deals left and right and slapping the "K"-name on all sorts of things. As a result of her tireless mom-aging, Kim is the highest-earning reality star with estimated 2010 earnings of $6 million.

Call us cynical but why not go right ahead and rename LifeChange the "Church of Kardashian" or something? But such name-slappage might be "too Donald Trump" -- even for Jenner.
