David Arquette Was So Drunk He Called Tom Cruise ‘Sean’

David Arquette returned to his therapist (a.k.a Howard Stern) Wednesday in a somewhat depressing appearance. After oversharing twice before in the radio host's studio since Arquette's split from Courteney Cox, he returned for a third visit and divulged he initially turned to the bottle in the wake of the break-up.

"I've been drinking a lot because I'm heartbroken," he said. "It's really a personal, traumatic thing."

In fact, it got so bad that, at a recent holiday party hosted by Adam Sandler, Arquette drunkenly called Tom Cruise "Sean."

"I was a little wasted," Arquette said. "Someone says 'Hi David!,' and I said, 'Hi Sean!' Then I realized it was Tom Cruise. And his beautiful wife [Katie Holmes] was there."

Stern asked if Arquette was "having a nervous breakdown," to which Arquette admitted "I believe so," adding that "everybody is worried and concerned about me."

Arquette said, though, that he is starting to take action to turn things around. For starters, he is seeing an actual therapist weekly. He also said he had a "semi-religious" epiphany recently ("When I drink, I become a maniac") which led him to try to quit drinking altogether.

The discussion did inevitably turn to Cox. He reiterated that Cox "didn't want to be [his] mother," but he "kind of needs a mother." He added that he "wants love" in his life and would love to have more kids.

He then creepily wondered aloud about the possibility of offspring with ex-girlfriend Drew Barrymore.

"I know she is with Justin Long and everything, but how would cool would an Arquette-Barrymore child be?" he said. "From a pure breeding standpoint."

Surely Cox is going to love hearing that.
