In a press release issued today, the Juno Awards have announced a new set of performers expected to show off their talents during the awards show the April 1st.
Joining musicians such as Blue Rodeo, Sarah McLachlan, Nickelback, Hedley, Feist, deadmau5 and City and Colour, the Junos have added St. John's, N.L., band Hey Rosetta! and a "mixed tape" of artists performing the year's top pop and dance hits to their set list.
Hey Rosetta! is nominated for New Group Of The Year and is quickly becoming one of the evening's most anticipated acts. The band has had an exciting year promoting their latest album "Seeds" and embarking on a tour through North America and Europe.
The "mixed tape" presentation package boasts performances by nominees Alyssa Reid, Anjulie, Dragonette, JRDN, and Mia Martina. This group holds a combination of six nominations and is sure to be a high energy performance filled with the hottest pop and dance tracks that we have been grooving to all year. After all, what's a Canadian music awards show without the youngest and hottest talents in the Canadian music scene today?
Hosted by William Shatner and in its 41st year, the Juno Awards will be held in Ottawa, Ont., on April 1 and promise to be a memorable evening you won't want to miss!
