Adrienne Maloof Dating Sean Stewart: 5 Reasons She May Want To Re-Think the Relationship

Age may be nothing but a number, but what about his extensive rap sheet?
“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Adrienne Maloof, 51, has been proudly parading her new boyfriend, 32-year-old Sean Stewart (son of Rod), all around town lately, just six months after calling it quits with Dr. Paul Nassif, her husband of 10 years and the father of her three sons. But is she setting herself up for big trouble?
Stewart, who boasts on his Twitter bio that “The best quality about myself is my hair,” has had a string of issues over the years, including drug use, rehab, assault charges, lawsuits, and public indecency. And considering the acrimonious split Maloof had with her ex – during which they accused each other of everything from gun violence to child abuse – his ex-wife’s new beau is surely not going to make the relationship any better.
There are plenty of reasons Maloof should hoof it in the opposite direction of Stewart, but we’ve narrowed it down to the top five:
He’s Battled Drugs and Alcohol for Years
In June 2008, Stewart – who began drinking at 13 – checked into the second season of Dr. Drew Pinsky’s “Celebrity Rehab” on VH1 to get help for his addictions to alcohol, ecstasy, Vicodin, morphine, the painkiller Fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin, as well as his “struggles with numerous women issues.” During a memorable therapy session with Dr. Drew, Stewart revealed that at the age of 11, he was told by someone (reportedly his famous father) that he was “a waste of sperm and egg.” After the show ended, he chose not to continue on to its spin-off, “Sober House,” and four months later in October he was reportedly back in rehab at The Canyon at Peace Park in Malibu for “immediate detox and for recovery of substance abuse and other issues.” Sure, it’s been four years since, but has he really recovered?
He Has a History of Violence
In April 2007, Stewart was arrested for beating a husband and wife with an array of things – including bricks – in a fit of rage after he was denied entrance to a private party in the Hollywood Hills. Although he was charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, in May 2008 the case was dismissed. Also, in 2002, Stewart was jailed for 90 days after he attacked a man outside a nightclub.

He Has Money Issues
Although Maloof bragged to TMZ that Stewart “mentors at the mission, works with at-risk children, and gives his time and money to get children off the streets,” none of that earns him a paycheck. Before he started blowing all his money on drugs, his father was providing him with a reported $12,000-a-month allowance. It’s unclear if the “Maggie May” singer is once again financing his son’s life … or maybe Maloof, who has billionaire parents herself, is now picking up the tab. In May 2011, Stewart was sued for more than $200,000 after he totaled a Bentley that he had rented for $2,500 a day. Three years before that, his former personal trainer slapped him with a nearly $4,000 lawsuit in small claims court for not paying up.
He Has ‘Opportunist History As a Reality Television Star’
Will we see Stewart on the next season of “Real Housewives”? He may be hoping so. When he signed on to be a part of “Celebrity Rehab,” producers questioned his motive since his own A&E reality show, “Sons of Hollywood,” which also starred Randy Spelling (Tori’s little brother), had flopped. His profile on VH1’s website read: "The big question is whether or not Sean will take his time at ‘Celebrity Rehab’ seriously. Due to his opportunist history as a reality television star, it is unlikely that he sees participation on the show as anything other than a chance to further his notoriety, not sobriety.”
He Meddled With Ex-Fiancée’s Custody Battle
Until 2010, Stewart was engaged to “Baseball Wives” star Chantel Kendall, a mother of four who is nearly a decade older than him. As the blonde battled her ex – Kansas City Royals catcher Jason Kendall – over custody of their children in court, Stewart was by her side, causing TMZ to label it “an ugly love triangle.” That same kind of scenario is the last thing Maloof needs in her life!
Long story short, Adrienne should drop Sean and find a new boyfriend without such a sordid past … although this sounds like a great plot line for reality TV, doesn’t it?
