Las Vegas is a long way from Nashville, but Shania Twain still wanted to make sure her fans knew that her brand-new residency at Caesars Palace was definitely country-girl style. The superstar introduced her two-year headlining run at the resort Wednesday by riding up the Las Vegas Strip leading a team of 40 horses.

Twain, who was on horseback herself, enlisted the help of nine wranglers to keep the traffic-stopping herd in check, while she smiled and waved to the crowd. Upon arriving at Caesars, she greeted several hundred gatherers and stepped off onto a temporary stage to the strains of her hit "Still The One."

Although certainly a fun spectacle, the horse parade was merely a teaser to the main event. Fans will have to wait a little longer for Twain's actual debut on the Caesars stage, which will take place December 1. "After many years of not seeing each other on the live stage, I look forward to that reunion!" Twain enthused to the crowd.

The 47-year-old phenomenon--who's sold more than 75 million albums, won five Grammy Awards, and is known for her pioneering crossover success into the world of pop music--dropped out of the music scene for several years following a painful divorce from her producer husband Robert "Mutt" Lange.

Twain remarried in January of 2011, but still found herself with an artistic block preventing her from working on music. Her struggles to regain her ability to sing and write again were documented in a show for Oprah Winfrey's Network, Why Not? With Shania Twain. Shortly after the debut of the biopic, in June 2011, she announced her plans to headline Caesars Palace. Twain released one new single in 2011--her first in six years--"Today Is Your Day," but has put plans for a full-length album on hold for the time being.
