All eyes were on Miley Cyrus this year with her provocative performances and borderline NSFW music videos. It's a wonder people bothered with her music at all!

Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball" video smashed Vevo's previous record for the most views in 24 hours with an insane 12.3 million hits. The video topped 100 million in six days, beating yet another Vevo record held also by Cyrus's "We Can't Stop" video, which received 100 million hits 37 days after its premiere.

But twerking teddies and nudity aside, we're gonna go out on a limb here and focus on (gasp!) her music! Let's turn all ears on Miley just this once and check out some of the cute, clever and creative reincarnations of Cyrus's "Wrecking Ball."

1. Miley Cyrus vs. Sinead O'Connor mashup

When the "Wrecking Ball" video first came out, there were obvious references to Sinead O'Connor's iconic "Nothing Compares 2 U" video, with both artists tearfully singing into the camera with their extra short coifs. Cyrus confirmed the inspiration. Mashup enthusiast Robin Skouteris answered the call, and mixed Cyrus's vocals over O'Connor's track, which worked out pretty darn well.

2. Haim covers "Wrecking Ball" live

Hip SoCal sister band Haim put their own spin on Cyrus's track at their Live Lounge set for BBC Radio 1, giving Cyrus some unexpected indie cred.

3. "Wrecking Ball" cracks some nuts

Hang some wrecking balls on the tree this year, because yes, here's a Christmas mashup! DJ McFly added Cyrus to the Santastic 8 mashup compilation this year, remixing the song with The Nutcracker's "Sugar Plum Fairy" and threw in a dose of dubstep for good measure.

4. PS22 Chorus's adorable cover

File this under: cute! The fifth graders of Staten Island's PS22 Chorus lent their voices to Cyrus's song, led by particularly talented member Tylia. How the teachers explained the music video to a room of 10-year-olds, not sure, but these kids smashed it.

5. Wreckin' it country style

Can't pass up a country cover, given that Miley Cyrus comes from country stock and still possesses an immense talent for country crooning. Another sibling trio The Gregory Brothers took a finger-pickin' pass at the pop song that could stand alone as its own country song if we didn't know any better.

6. The epic, wrecking balls to the wall remix

Last but not least, we have the mandatory mega-remix by none other than deck master Afrojack. The DJ turned Cyrus's ballad into a 7-minute mind explosion, as we can and did expect. Don't forget to pack extra glow sticks, you're gonna need them.
