Hollywood is dancing to the music of Gotham City, the Capitol and the Muppet Theater this week as "The Dark Knight Rises," "The Hunger Games" and, of course, "The Muppets" are among the films to receive nominations from the 55th Annual Grammy Awards.

The Grammys consist of no less than 81 (!) categories, and at least three of them are dedicated to honoring the music of Visual Media. Except for a Best Song nomination for the television series "Smash" and a Best Score Soundtrack nomination for the video game "Journey," theatrical films dominate the nominees this year.

"The Hunger Games" and "The Muppets" lead the pack with two nominations each, with "Games" receiving Best Song nods for "Abraham's Daughter" and Taylor Swift's "Safe & Sound" and "The Muppets" receiving a Best Song nod for "Man or Muppet" as well as a nomination for Best Compilation Soundtrack.

Hans Zimmer's thunderous score for Christopher Nolan's final Batman film, "The Dark Knight Rises," earned a nomination for Best Score Soundtrack, as did Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross' intense work on "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" (which also received a nomination for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package). It's not all doom and gloom in that category, though, as the soaring, sweeping scores for both "The Adventures of Tintin" and "Hugo" are also nominated.
