If you can't make it to San Diego for Comic-Con 2013, worry not, cause we're bringing the Con to you!
Part of the fun of Comic-Con is that it promotes a nostalgic sense of childlike wonder. Mostly because you're surrounded by toys! (Or "collectibles" inspired by toys, if you prefer.) Whatever your pop culture pleasure happens to be, the convention floor is a veritable geek paradise.
In an effort to bring you to the convention floor, but without all those formidable lines, we're running Comic-Con exclusive giveaways from some of the premiere names at the convention: DC Comics, Hasbro, Legendary Pictures, LEGO, Mattel, and The Bridge Direct. If you have memories of a happy childhood, odds are good Hasbro had something to do with it.
And if you want to insure yourself of having a happy Comic-con, the Hasbro booth is a good place to start.
Besides having all the latest, greatest toys from all their hot properties – Star Wars, G.I. Joe, Jem and The Holograms, Transformers, My Little Pony, Nerf, and Marvel Universe among them – Hasbro is also bringing some of the most collectible exclusives around. Don't believe us? But you don't have to get ripped off on eBay or travel to San Diego to get a hold of these exclusive goods. Thanks to Hasbro, we're bringing the goods to you. All told, we've got NINE Comic-Con exclusives to dole out, three of each of the items below. Now that's happiness!
G.I. Joe Skystriker with Jetfire Deco and V.A.M.P. Autobot Hound Deco and 3.75-inch Snake Eyes & Baroness & Decepticon Bludgeon Speckial Edition Pack
The third and final installment of G.I. JOE meets the TRANSFORMERS 2013 SDCC special edition toys! The fan-favorite line goes out in grand style, with two iconic G.I. JOE vehicles—the SKYSTRIKER Jet and the V.A.M.P. Ground Transport—given AUTOBOT decos as the heroic JETFIRE and AUTOBOT HOUND! The set also comes with a 3.75-inch BARONESS action figure with a special edition RAVAGE robotic panther, a 3.75-inch SNAKE EYES figure with special edition AUTOBOT deco and a 3.75-inch figure based on DECEPTICON BLUDGEON. Additionally, the set includes a small boom box with three cassette tapes—better known to TRANSFORMERS fans as the classic alt-mode of AUTOBOT BLASTER along with his AUTOBOT CASSETTES. 'Star Wars' The Black Series 6-Inch Boba Fett Action Figure with Han Solo in Carbonite.
In 2013, Hasbro takes collectible "Star Wars" action figures to the next level with the introduction of The Black Series action figure line! For the first time ever, Hasbro is introducing a 6-inch scale of the greatest characters from the "Star Wars" universe, and fans will have their first opportunity to start their Black 6-inch figure collection at San Diego Comic-Con with the Boba Fett action figure which comes with Han Solo in Carbonite accessory.
Marvel Universe 3.75-Inch Deadpool Corps Special Edition Figure Set
“Any evil that threatens the universe can eat lead. For the rest of us...tacos!” The Merc with a Mouth teams up with his favorite allies — alternate universe versions of himself — in this highly collectible and unique action figure set. The 3.75-inch Marvel Universe figures of Deadpool, Lady Deadpool and Champion of the Universe, along with figurines of Kidpool, Dogpool, and Squirrelpool come packaged in individual “taco shells,” all inside a collectible taco truck package!
