U2's The Edge Misses the Edge...the Stage's Edge, That Is!

In what might be the most perfect headline ever: U2’s The Edge fell off the edge of the stage during a concert.

No, this is not a clever joke. It all went down – literally – at the band’s first stop on their current Innocence and Experience tour. Luckily, the guitarist’s tumble happened at the end of the show, during an encore performance of “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For." Next time, we'll bet he'll look a little harder.

And in what could either be interpreted as a sign of professionalism -- or possibly neglect – lead singer Bono kept on singing, walking right on past his fallen bandmate.

Thankfully, The Edge took his misstep with a sense of humor. U2 posted a photo of his scrape on Instagram with the caption, “Didn’t see the edge, I’m ok!!”

His fall can at least partially be blamed on a brand new stage set-up. Ironically, the production designer told the New York Times that it was constructed to “land them in the audience’s lap." Mission accomplished.

U2 has been especially accident-prone as of late; Bono is still suffering from injuries sustained in a 2014 bike crash.

If you're looking for something "edgy" to listen to, tomorrow night, check out Yahoo Live for a streaming performance from the band Lord Huron. They take the stage at 10:15 p.m. PT and you can watch here.
