5 Things to Know About Emily Wickersham, Cote de Pablo's 'NCIS' Replacement

Joining a hugely popular drama in its eleventh season can't be easy. Replacing a beloved actress and character? Brutally hard.

That's the tough task ahead for Emily Wickersham. TV Line reports that the former "Sopranos" star has been cast as a potential replacement for departing star Cote de Pablo's Ziva David.

Wickersham will play Bishop — a "bright, educated, athletic, attractive, fresh-faced, focused, and somewhat socially awkward new agent" — starting in November.

So, what's the scoop on the newest member of the "NCIS" team? Here are five things to know about Wickersham:

1. She has ties to the mob.

Wickersham's most high-profile role to date was Rhiannon, the girlfriend of A.J. Soprano (Robert Iler). She appeared in a handful of episodes in the final season of "The Sopranos," including that controversial finale. And as some fans have pointed out in their theories about the ending, Rhiannon was one of the few people who knew Tony and his family were going to dine at Holstein's!

2. She's currently on "The Bridge."

For her "socially awkward" agent, Wickersham can take some cues from her "The Bridge" co-star Diane Kruger. On the FX drama, Wickersham is Kate, the stepdaughter of Charlotte (Annabeth Gish).

3. She used to be afraid of getting kidnapped.

Appearing in the movie "Gone" opposite Amanda Seyfried touched a raw nerve in Wickersham. "When I was younger, I was always scared of being kidnapped," she confessed at the movie's premiere.

4. She loves Instagram.

Wickersham chronicles her life through pictures — Instagram pictures. Follow her on Twitter and you'll get daily photo updates, like this funny image of Wickersham in a makeup chair for "The Bridge."

5. She's married to a rocker.

Wickersham likes to keep things very mysterious — not much is known about her age, hometown, or family. But some digging reveals that she wed musician Blake Hanley of the band Ghost Lion in 2010.

"NCIS" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
