Then: Amanda Bynes was already a funny kid back in 1994 when this photo was snapped. The 8-year-old had taken classes at the legendary Comedy Store in Hollywood, and quickly started landing work as an actress in commercials. Within one year, she joined the cast of Nickelodeon's "All That," and within two years she had her own sketch comedy spin-off on the network, "The Amanda Show," which lasted for 74 episodes. Movies such as "What a Girl Wants" and "Sydney White," as well as the sitcom "What I Like About You" followed.
Now: Sadly, Bynes is going through some tough times — even though she insists that she's thriving. The "Easy A" star has spent the past year fighting legal charges from driving infractions that include an alleged hit and run, DUI, and driving with a suspended license. She's also engaged in countless Twitter feuds, and has an apparent obsession with posting selfies in which she's wearing little clothing. She's even stopped speaking to her parents. Last Friday, she was arrested again after she was allegedly smoking marijuana in the lobby of her NYC apartment building and threw a bong out of her window, but promptly went back to her old ways.
Where'd that adorable little girl go?
