When you're right in the middle of basking in your 15 minutes of fame, you're focused, you're making sure you spell your name correctly, and you're sure as hell not looking behind you to notice Sam Smith making faces.
Unfortunately for Luisa Morgan and Hannah Madison (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), that's exactly what happened earlier this week. The Grammy winner was getting his first glimpse of the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado — which he was pretty darn excited about, judging from his Instagram — when, lo and behold, a camera crew was interviewing a pair of girls about their yoga event.
"They've got beginner to advanced instructors on stage and they will help you out," Luisa says as Smith walks up behind her and makes a peace sign. "You're getting photobombed," the cameraman warns her. They just laugh. A few moments later, Luisa even tells the scene stealer to "get out of here."
Sam just arched his back and tried to play it cool. Later, on Instagram, he showed how proud he was of the moment, posting screen shots and writing, "Photobombing the news" along with a pair of laughing-til-you-cry emojis.
The star performed at the breathtaking venue on Tuesday, the same day it was named an official National Historic Landmark. "RED ROCKS," Smith wrote, appreciating the naturally-occurring amphitheater. "Everyone told me this place was beautiful, they were right. Stunning x."
