Now that is some PDA!
In the wake of Robin Thicke's butt-grabbing scandal, he and wife Paula Patton went over-the top lovey-dovey at his album release party in Manhattan on Wednesday night.
The high school sweethearts were especially cozy on the red carpet. The "2 Guns" actress, 37, nuzzled against the "Blurred Lines" singer, 36, grabbing his face with her hands and giving him a big kiss in front of photographers. She then whispered in his ear and he smiled broadly.
Thicke had his arm around his Patton, whom he married in 2005, pulling her in close to him and resting his hand on her lower back.
Hand placement is a big deal in light of the recent photo of Thicke in which he appears to be grabbing the rear of 20-year-old socialite Lana Scolaro. The squeeze play took place at an afterparty following his racy performance with Miley Cyrus at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York City last month.
Scolaro has since told Life & Style magazine that she and Thicke kissed at that night in a Greenwich Hotel suite while Patton was just a few feet away. The college student claims that Thicke told her Patton was "chill" and wouldn't mind the kiss, and that she even traveled with the couple in a limo to the party.
However, Patton's rep told Life & Style, Scolaro is "just a girl looking for some attention. Paula and Robin aren't concerned."
In fact, Thicke openly praises Patton, with whom he has a 3-year-old son named Julian, in a new interview with Prestige magazine. He actually goes beyond just praise, calling her a true lifesaver.
"I don’t know if I would still be alive in some ways if it wasn’t for Paula," he said. "She’s been my rock, my muse, my inspiration and I love her. The whole way."
Patton, who was also interviewed, sang the same tune, telling the mag, "We're best friends. We laugh a lot."
And right now they're probably laughing a lot — at the rumors. Because from what we can see, they clearly don't look too upset about anything.
