America's most famous political family has a new in-law.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and actress Cheryl Hines were married at the Kennedy compound in Massachusetts on Saturday. The nuptials took place at Ethel Kennedy's home in Hyannis Port on Cape Cod.
Robert's cousin Patrick Kennedy, a former congressman, told the AP on Friday that many members of the family planned to attend.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Larry David, Kevin Nealon, and Ed Begley, Jr. were a few famous faces in attendance.
News that Kennedy, an attorney who specializes in environmental law, was engaged to the Curb Your Enthusiasm star leaked to the press in May. They began dating in 2012.
Weeks prior, the 48-year-old actress talked to Us Weekly about why she and the activist were a good match.
"We share the same values," Hines said. "Family first… We like to have a good time and work hard.
"It's fun to have a partner," she continued. "He's so dedicated to the environment and clean water, so we take turns. He'll come to my United Cerebral Palsy event and walk the red carpet with me. It's a good match up."
Hines also shared with the magazine her beau's most romantic gesture ever.
"He's going to kill me if I tell you this," she joked. "The first time we went scuba diving together, he picked up a starfish at the bottom of the ocean and gave it to me."
This is the third marriage for Robert, 60. His second wife, Mary, took her own life in the family's New York home in May 2012. He has six children from previous relationships. This is the second marriage for Hines. She has one daughter with ex-husband Paul Young.
